Sri Lanka received 600,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine from the Chinese Government under the China’s “ Build the Great Wall of Vaccines” initiative.

The first batch of 600,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccines, donated by China, arrived at BIA today (31st March 2021) on a special Sri Lankan Airlines flight- UL-868.
This was ceremonially handed over to His Excellency, the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa by His Excellency, the Ambassador of China Qi Zhenhong at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
